Dr. Janee Steinberg Announces the Addition of Exilis
Dr. Janee Steinberg, Board Certified Dermatologist and Fellow of The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, located in Ft. Lauderdale and Boca Raton, Florida is pleased to announce that we now offer the Exilis RF Skin and Tissue Tightening as a non-invasive body shaping and skin tightening treatment. As the Medical Director of Advanced Cosmetic Laser Center, Dr. Janee Steinberg, and her team of highly skilled and trained licensed professionals offer a variety of services to keep you looking young and beautiful.
How Does the Exilis Work?
The Exilis uses two kinds of energy - ultrasound vibrations to dislodge stubborn pockets of fat and radiofrequency (RF) energy to liquify fat. RF waves leave the surface of the skin unharmed, heating only the fat cells located one to three centimeters below the skin's surface. Once liquefied, the fat is processed and removed from the body through the lymphatic drainage system.
As an added bonus, the heat energy also causes the skin's collagen to contract, which smooths the skin and reduces wrinkles.
The Benefits of Exilis
Dr. Janee Steinberg notes that the Exilis can reduce the circumferance and tighten the skin on various parts of the body, including the waist, hips, thighs, arms, inner knees, back, and buttocks. Exilis is safe for the reduction of wrinkles on the face as well. In fact, we have seen results almost immediately on many of our patients.
Who is the Best Candidate?
Exilis is ideal for treating the areas that usually cause the most concern... you know, those that are unresponsive to diet and exercise. The hips, abdomen, and thighs are popular treatment areas. The best candidate for this procedure are those patients that are no more than 20 to 30 pounds overweight. If you have a pacemaker, you are not permitted to have this procedure due to possible interference with the RF trechnology.
Recommended Age Range
There is no age requirement for Exilis treatments.
When Will I See Results?
Results should improve with each treatment, and as we just mentioned, some patients see improvements (the loss of an inch or so) after a single session. Four treatments is recommended. In order to achieve the best results, Dr. Steinberg suggests that appointments should be spaced one to two weeks apart. One of the best parts about the Exilis is that the collagen continues to remodel months after your treatments end, resulting in a tighter appearance to the skin over time. Some patients even consider coming back for repeat treatments. According to Dr. Janee Steinberg, "Once you see how great your results are, you might even consider having other areas of your body done as well".
How Long Does it Last?
As adults, once fat is removed from one part of the body, it is unlikely to return to that particular area, though weight can be regained. Unfortunately, wrinkle reduction is not permanent. As we mature and the skin is exposed to all types of conditions, new wrinkles may form, and existing wrinkles may become deeper and more pronounced. Don't be alarmed, Dr. Steinberg can treat those problem areas as well with Juvederm Injectible Gel, Restylane, or Radiesse.
And the Best Part Is
The Exilis is a non-invasive procedure, leaves no scars and requires no recovery period. You can go to lunch or even go back to work directly after your treatment.
Let Dr. Steinberg, and her team of specially trained and skilled skincare specialists show you how to maintain your skin in a warm and friendly atmosphere. With over 30 years of professional experience, Dr. Janee Steinberg is one of the leading Dermatologists in South Florida.
