Microdermabrasion – Medical – with dermal infusion (Silk Peel)
We now offer an advanced form of microdermabrasion known as Silkpeel. During this procedure, a smooth diamond tipped handpiece is used to exfoliate the skin while a variety of medications or moisturizers are infused into the tissue. There is minimal discomfort, the skin is slightly red after, and we apply sunscreens and make-up immediately afterwards. This treatments can help quite a bit with fine lines, sun damage, aged skin, acne and acne scars, and keloid and stretch marks. It is often combined with our Photofacial Laser treatments to improve pores, texture, and color. Usually a series of treatments are performed two to four times a month. Our patients are very happy with this simple lunchtime procedure and their results.
Microdermabrasion is also known as the "lunchtime peel" because the takes less than half the time of dermabrasion surgery and the repercussions after surgery are much less serious.
